How to share your pet’s records with a groomer

Quick answer

Add your pet and each vaccination to PawPass once, then create a share link before the appointment. Send the link when you book or show the QR code at the door; the groomer opens it in any browser with no account, and you revoke it afterwards.

Five minutes once, then every future groomer, kennel and sitter gets the same answer in one scan.

Once: build the record

  1. Create a free PawPass account and add your pet: name, species, breed, birth date.
  2. Add each vaccination as an entry with the date given and the next due date. Start with rabies and Bordetella; they are what the groomer asks for.
  3. Photograph each certificate and attach it to its entry, so the original is one tap away for you.
  4. Add any medications or allergies the groomer should know about, with the detail in the notes.

Each time: share it

  1. Open the pet and tap Create a share link. Choose how long it should last.
  2. Booking by phone or online? Copy the link and send it. At the door? Show the QR code and let them scan it.
  3. They see a read-only page with every record and its date. No account, no app.
  4. After the appointment, revoke the link, or let it expire.

Next time

Set a reminder on Bordetella and rabies for a month before they are due. The groomer never has to turn you away, and you never have to ring the vet from the parking lot.
