Sharing

How to share your pet’s vaccination records.

Three steps from sign-up to a record the groomer or kennel can scan. Nothing to install on their side, and nothing to print on yours.

How it works

How to share your pet’s records
in 3 steps.

I.

Add your pet.

A name, species, breed, and birthdate. About thirty seconds.

II.

Start with the one they ask for.

Photograph the rabies certificate and attach it to a record. That alone covers most requests. Add the rest of the history whenever you have a spare minute.

III.

Share a QR, get on with your day.

Generate a time-boxed QR at the groomer or boarding facility. They scan, you move on.

Both sides of a share

You show a QR code.
They see the record.

The kennel scans with their own phone and gets a clean, read-only page of exactly what you shared. No app, no account, nothing to print.

Your phone

Make a share, choose how long it lasts, hold up the QR code.

Their scan

The record, read-only, until the link expires or you revoke it.

A share link is an unguessable token with an expiry you set. You can see how many times it has been opened and close it in one tap. How shared records are protected.

Before they’ll take your pet

What boarding, groomers, landlords
and airlines ask for.

Usually with a deadline, and usually when the folder is at home in a drawer. Here is what tends to get asked for, and the timing that catches people out.

Boarding & daycare

Rabies certificate, DHPP, and Bordetella for dogs. Rabies and FVRCP for cats.

Most places want the shots given a week or two before the stay, not the morning of.

The groomer

Rabies almost always, and Bordetella at plenty of salons.

Usually checked when you book. A record that is out of date can cost you the slot.

Renting & moving

Proof of rabies for the pet addendum, sometimes weight or breed on paper.

Asked for during the application, when everything else is already due at once.

Flying

A health certificate from a USDA-accredited vet, plus current rabies.

The certificate is typically only valid for about ten days. Crossing a border can take months of planning.

Requirements vary by facility and by state, so confirm the details with whoever is asking. What PawPass does is make sure the answer is already on your phone: every record in one place, a reminder before a date lapses, and a link or QR code you can hand over without the other side installing anything.

Any phone

Works on any phone,
no app store needed.

PawPass runs in the browser you already have, on iPhone, Android, a tablet or a laptop. Put it on your home screen and it opens full-screen with its own icon, like any other app.

iPhone or iPad (Safari)

  1. 1.Open pawpass.live in Safari and sign in.
  2. 2.Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen.
  3. 3.Choose "Add to Home Screen", then "Add".

Android (Chrome)

  1. 1.Open pawpass.live in Chrome and sign in.
  2. 2.Tap the three-dot menu in the top corner.
  3. 3.Choose "Add to Home screen" (or "Install app"), then "Add".

The person you share with never needs any of this. They open the link or scan the QR code in whatever browser they have, with no account and nothing to install.

Try it

Share your first record.

Add a pet, attach the rabies certificate, and send yourself a share link. It takes about three minutes.

Free for your first pet. No card required.
